白沙 Baisha                                                     North of Lijiang, Yunnan    
Baisha was the capital of the Naxi Kingdom before Kublai Kahn incorporated it into the Yuan
empire (1271-1368). It's a rural farming village today and contrasts with the more extensive old
city of Lijiang to the South.
